This assignment consists of two parts. For each part, please answer all the questions in a single
document. Also submit both the R files. You will find both the datasets in the CourseDataSet
folder in Blackboard.
Using Bread Basket dataset, please do the following
1. Find out the descriptive statistics about transactions and list the important distinct items
in the dataset. [5]
2. Do a market basket analysis and uncover the association rules. Among the association
rules, filter out any rule with “Coffee” on the right-hand side. Next, choose a metrics and
using it select top five rules and describe those. Explain the terms support, confidence,
and lift.
